1. In brief

AssistantCoach is designed to work without an account or online database. Information entered in the app is stored locally on the user's device. AssistantCoach does not receive or have access to team, player, training, or match information stored in the app.

The app does not contain advertising or analytics, does not track users, and does not sell personal information.

2. Information stored locally in the app

Users may enter and manage information such as:

Team and club names;
Players' names, dates of birth or ages, shirt numbers, and playing positions;
Attendance, absences, and late arrivals;
Starting and substitute status, minutes played, goals, assists, cards, injuries, and performance ratings;
Training and match dates, times, locations, opponents, competitions, results, formations, line-ups, statistics, and match notes.

This information is processed and stored locally on the user's device. It is not transmitted to AssistantCoach or stored on servers operated by AssistantCoach.

AssistantCoach does not require registration and does not provide user accounts, authentication, or cloud synchronisation.

3. Purpose of local processing

The app processes information locally to enable users to manage football teams, players, training sessions, matches, attendance, line-ups, and performance statistics. The user decides what information to enter and is responsible for ensuring that its use is lawful, fair, accurate, and appropriate.

4. Information about players and minors

Users may enter information about other people, including players under the age of 18. The user—or, where applicable, the club or organisation for which the user acts—is responsible for that information and for complying with applicable privacy, safeguarding, employment, and sports-club rules.

Users must:

Have a valid legal basis and obtain any permission, authorisation, or parental involvement required by applicable law or club policy;
Tell players and, where appropriate, parents or guardians how their information is being used;
Enter only information that is necessary for legitimate team-management purposes;
Keep information accurate and delete it when it is no longer needed;
Limit access to people who are authorised to see the information;
Avoid entering detailed medical information or other highly sensitive information. An injury should only be recorded when necessary and legally permitted;
Never use AssistantCoach to create, retain, export, or share sexual, exploitative, abusive, discriminatory, harassing, or otherwise inappropriate content concerning a child or any other person.

AssistantCoach is intended primarily for adult users managing football teams. It is not designed for children to use independently.

5. Local reminders

With the user's permission, AssistantCoach can schedule local notifications reminding the user to complete match or training statistics. These reminders are scheduled and displayed by the device itself. AssistantCoach does not use a remote push-notification server and does not receive a device token or notification history.

Notification permission can be changed at any time in the device settings.

6. Exports, backups, and sharing

Users can export the local database as a .sqlite3 backup file and can import such a file on a device. Users may also create and share images of line-ups. Line-up images use jersey designs rather than player photographs, but they may include player names or other identifying information.

AssistantCoach does not receive exported files or shared images. Once a user exports or shares information, the user controls where it is sent and is responsible for:

Sharing it only with authorised recipients;
Using a secure transfer and storage method;
Protecting backup files against unauthorised access;
Obtaining any permission required before publishing player information, particularly information about minors;
Deleting copies when they are no longer needed.

The device's operating system may include AssistantCoach data in a device or cloud backup, depending on the user's iOS, Android, iCloud, Google, or device-backup settings. These backups are controlled by the user and the relevant platform provider, not by AssistantCoach. Users can review or change backup settings through their device or platform account.

7. Deletion and retention on the device

Player, team, training, and match information remains on the device until the user deletes it, removes the relevant data, clears the app's storage, or uninstalls the app. When information is deleted within the app, AssistantCoach does not retain a server-side copy.

Copies may remain in backups or previously exported or shared files until the user deletes those copies through the relevant device, storage service, or recipient.

Because AssistantCoach does not possess the locally stored database, the operator cannot remotely access, correct, export, or delete it. A player, parent, or guardian wishing to exercise rights concerning information entered by a coach or club should contact that coach or club directly.

8. Support communications

If a person contacts AssistantCoach by email, the operator receives the information included in that message, such as the sender's email address, message content, and any voluntarily provided screenshots or attachments.

Support information is used only to respond to the request, troubleshoot the reported issue, protect the app where necessary, and keep a limited record of the correspondence. The legal basis is the operator's legitimate interest in providing support and maintaining the app, or taking steps requested by the sender.

Support emails are normally deleted within three months after the matter has been resolved, unless longer retention is reasonably necessary to handle an ongoing dispute, security issue, or legal obligation. Support information is not used for advertising and no promotional mailing list is maintained.

Support email is hosted by Gmail/Google. Google may process relevant account and technical information under its own terms and privacy documentation.

9. Website and app-store providers

The AssistantCoach information website is hosted through GitHub Pages. When someone visits the website, GitHub may process technical information such as an IP address, browser information, security logs, and cookies in accordance with GitHub's own privacy statement. AssistantCoach does not add its own analytics or advertising cookies to the website.

Apple and Google may independently process information when a person downloads, installs, updates, backs up, or reports a problem with the app. This may include store statistics, crash or diagnostic information, device information, and account or transaction records controlled by those providers. AssistantCoach does not receive player or team databases through the app stores. Apple and Google are responsible for their own processing under their respective privacy policies.

10. Security

Local app data is protected by the security features and application sandbox provided by the device and operating system. Users are responsible for securing their device with appropriate measures such as a passcode, biometric lock, current software updates, and secure backups.

No method of storage or sharing is completely secure. Exported .sqlite3 files may contain identifiable player information and should be treated as confidential. Users should not export or share them through an insecure channel.

11. International availability

AssistantCoach may be made available in the European Union, European Economic Area, United Kingdom, and potentially other countries. The core app data remains on the user's device unless the user chooses to export or share it or enables an operating-system backup.

Users who manage player information remain responsible for any international transfer they initiate through exports, sharing, or third-party storage services.

12. Privacy rights and complaints

For locally stored player and team information, the relevant user, coach, or club controls the data. Requests to access, correct, or delete that information must therefore be directed to that person or organisation.

For personal information contained in a support email, the sender may contact AssistantCoach to request access, correction, or deletion, or to object to or restrict its use where applicable. The sender may also lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens) or, where applicable, another competent supervisory authority such as the UK Information Commissioner's Office.

13. Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated if the app's functionality, data practices, or legal requirements change. The updated version will be published on the AssistantCoach website with a new effective date. Material changes will be communicated in the app or through another appropriate channel where reasonably possible.

14. Contact and controller

AssistantCoach is operated personally in the Netherlands by Joeri van Megen, who is responsible for personal information received directly through AssistantCoach support communications.

AssistantCoach is ontworpen om zonder account of online database te werken. Informatie die in de app wordt ingevoerd, wordt lokaal opgeslagen op het apparaat van de gebruiker. AssistantCoach ontvangt team-, speler-, training- of wedstrijdinformatie uit de app niet en heeft daar geen toegang toe.

De app bevat geen advertenties of analytics, volgt gebruikers niet en verkoopt geen persoonsgegevens.

2. Informatie die lokaal in de app wordt opgeslagen

Gebruikers kunnen onder andere de volgende informatie invoeren en beheren:

Namen van teams en clubs;
Namen, geboortedata of leeftijden, rugnummers en posities van spelers;
Aanwezigheid, afwezigheid en te laat komen;
Basis- en reservestatus, gespeelde minuten, doelpunten, assists, kaarten, blessures en prestatiebeoordelingen;
Datums, tijden en locaties van trainingen en wedstrijden, tegenstanders, competities, uitslagen, formaties, opstellingen, statistieken en wedstrijdnotities.

Deze informatie wordt lokaal op het apparaat van de gebruiker verwerkt en opgeslagen. Zij wordt niet naar AssistantCoach verzonden en niet opgeslagen op servers die door AssistantCoach worden beheerd.

AssistantCoach vereist geen registratie en biedt geen gebruikersaccounts, authenticatie of cloudsynchronisatie.

3. Doel van de lokale verwerking

De app verwerkt informatie lokaal om gebruikers in staat te stellen voetbalteams, spelers, trainingen, wedstrijden, aanwezigheid, opstellingen en prestatiestatistieken te beheren. De gebruiker bepaalt welke informatie wordt ingevoerd en is ervoor verantwoordelijk dat het gebruik daarvan rechtmatig, behoorlijk, juist en passend is.

4. Informatie over spelers en minderjarigen

Gebruikers kunnen informatie invoeren over andere personen, waaronder spelers jonger dan 18 jaar. De gebruiker, of indien van toepassing de club of organisatie waarvoor de gebruiker handelt, is verantwoordelijk voor deze informatie en voor naleving van toepasselijke privacy-, veiligheids-, arbeids- en clubregels.

Gebruikers moeten:

Over een geldige rechtsgrond beschikken en alle toestemming, machtiging of betrokkenheid van ouders verkrijgen die volgens de toepasselijke wetgeving of het clubbeleid vereist is;
Spelers en, waar passend, ouders of voogden informeren over het gebruik van hun gegevens;
Alleen informatie invoeren die noodzakelijk is voor legitieme doeleinden van teambeheer;
Informatie juist houden en verwijderen zodra deze niet meer nodig is;
De toegang beperken tot personen die bevoegd zijn de informatie te bekijken;
Het invoeren van gedetailleerde medische informatie of andere zeer gevoelige informatie vermijden. Een blessure mag alleen worden vastgelegd wanneer dit noodzakelijk en wettelijk toegestaan is;
AssistantCoach nooit gebruiken om seksuele, uitbuitende, beledigende, discriminerende, intimiderende of anderszins ongepaste inhoud over een kind of een andere persoon te maken, bewaren, exporteren of delen.

AssistantCoach is voornamelijk bedoeld voor volwassen gebruikers die voetbalteams beheren. De app is niet ontworpen voor zelfstandig gebruik door kinderen.

5. Lokale herinneringen

Met toestemming van de gebruiker kan AssistantCoach lokale meldingen plannen die eraan herinneren wedstrijd- of trainingsstatistieken in te vullen. Deze herinneringen worden door het apparaat zelf gepland en weergegeven. AssistantCoach gebruikt geen externe pushnotificatieserver en ontvangt geen apparaattoken of notificatiegeschiedenis.

De toestemming voor meldingen kan op ieder moment worden aangepast via de instellingen van het apparaat.

6. Export, back-ups en delen

Gebruikers kunnen de lokale database exporteren als een .sqlite3-back-upbestand en zo'n bestand op een apparaat importeren. Gebruikers kunnen ook afbeeldingen van opstellingen maken en delen. Opstellingsafbeeldingen gebruiken shirtontwerpen in plaats van spelersfoto's, maar kunnen wel spelersnamen of andere identificerende informatie bevatten.

AssistantCoach ontvangt geëxporteerde bestanden of gedeelde afbeeldingen niet. Zodra een gebruiker informatie exporteert of deelt, bepaalt de gebruiker waar deze terechtkomt en is die gebruiker verantwoordelijk voor:

Delen uitsluitend met bevoegde ontvangers;
Het gebruik van een veilige overdrachts- en opslagmethode;
Het beschermen van back-upbestanden tegen onbevoegde toegang;
Het verkrijgen van eventuele vereiste toestemming voordat spelersinformatie openbaar wordt gemaakt, in het bijzonder informatie over minderjarigen;
Het verwijderen van kopieën zodra deze niet meer nodig zijn.

Het besturingssysteem van het apparaat kan AssistantCoach-gegevens opnemen in een apparaat- of cloudback-up, afhankelijk van de iOS-, Android-, iCloud-, Google- of back-upinstellingen van de gebruiker. Deze back-ups worden beheerd door de gebruiker en de betreffende platformaanbieder, niet door AssistantCoach. Gebruikers kunnen de back-upinstellingen bekijken of wijzigen via hun apparaat of platformaccount.

7. Verwijdering en bewaartermijn op het apparaat

Informatie over spelers, teams, trainingen en wedstrijden blijft op het apparaat totdat de gebruiker deze verwijdert, de betreffende gegevens wist, de appopslag leegt of de app verwijdert. Wanneer informatie in de app wordt verwijderd, bewaart AssistantCoach geen kopie op een server.

Kopieën kunnen in back-ups of eerder geëxporteerde of gedeelde bestanden blijven staan totdat de gebruiker deze verwijdert via het betreffende apparaat, de opslagdienst of de ontvanger.

Omdat AssistantCoach niet over de lokaal opgeslagen database beschikt, kan de beheerder deze niet op afstand inzien, corrigeren, exporteren of verwijderen. Een speler, ouder of voogd die rechten wil uitoefenen met betrekking tot informatie die door een coach of club is ingevoerd, moet rechtstreeks contact opnemen met die coach of club.

8. Supportcommunicatie

Wanneer iemand per e-mail contact opneemt met AssistantCoach, ontvangt de beheerder de informatie in dat bericht, zoals het e-mailadres van de afzender, de inhoud van het bericht en eventueel vrijwillig verstrekte schermafbeeldingen of bijlagen.

Supportinformatie wordt uitsluitend gebruikt om het verzoek te beantwoorden, het gemelde probleem te onderzoeken, de app waar nodig te beschermen en een beperkte administratie van de correspondentie bij te houden. De rechtsgrond is het gerechtvaardigde belang van de beheerder om ondersteuning te bieden en de app te onderhouden, of om op verzoek van de afzender stappen te ondernemen.

Supportmails worden normaal gesproken binnen drie maanden nadat de kwestie is opgelost verwijderd, tenzij langer bewaren redelijkerwijs noodzakelijk is wegens een lopend geschil, beveiligingsprobleem of wettelijke verplichting. Supportinformatie wordt niet gebruikt voor advertenties en er wordt geen promotionele mailinglijst bijgehouden.

Supportmail wordt gehost door Gmail/Google. Google kan relevante account- en technische informatie verwerken volgens zijn eigen voorwaarden en privacydocumentatie.

9. Website- en appstoreaanbieders

De informatiewebsite van AssistantCoach wordt gehost via GitHub Pages. Wanneer iemand de website bezoekt, kan GitHub technische informatie verwerken, zoals een IP-adres, browserinformatie, beveiligingslogs en cookies, overeenkomstig de eigen privacyverklaring van GitHub. AssistantCoach voegt geen eigen analytics- of advertentiecookies aan de website toe.

Apple en Google kunnen zelfstandig informatie verwerken wanneer iemand de app downloadt, installeert, bijwerkt, een back-up maakt of een probleem meldt. Dit kan appstorestatistieken, crash- of diagnostische informatie, apparaatinformatie en account- of transactiegegevens omvatten die door deze aanbieders worden beheerd. AssistantCoach ontvangt via de appstores geen databases met speler- of teaminformatie. Apple en Google zijn zelf verantwoordelijk voor hun verwerkingen op grond van hun respectieve privacyverklaringen.

10. Beveiliging

Lokale appgegevens worden beschermd door de beveiligingsfuncties en app-sandbox van het apparaat en het besturingssysteem. Gebruikers zijn verantwoordelijk voor het beveiligen van hun apparaat met passende maatregelen, zoals een toegangscode, biometrische vergrendeling, actuele software-updates en veilige back-ups.

Geen enkele opslag- of deelmethode is volledig veilig. Geëxporteerde .sqlite3-bestanden kunnen identificeerbare spelersinformatie bevatten en moeten vertrouwelijk worden behandeld. Gebruikers mogen deze niet via een onbeveiligd kanaal exporteren of delen.

11. Internationale beschikbaarheid

AssistantCoach kan beschikbaar worden gesteld in de Europese Unie, de Europese Economische Ruimte, het Verenigd Koninkrijk en mogelijk andere landen. De kerngegevens van de app blijven op het apparaat van de gebruiker, tenzij de gebruiker ervoor kiest deze te exporteren of delen of een back-upfunctie van het besturingssysteem inschakelt.

Gebruikers die spelersinformatie beheren, blijven verantwoordelijk voor internationale doorgiften die zij initiëren via export, delen of externe opslagdiensten.

12. Privacyrechten en klachten

Voor lokaal opgeslagen speler- en teaminformatie bepaalt de betreffende gebruiker, coach of club wat er met de gegevens gebeurt. Verzoeken om die informatie in te zien, te corrigeren of te verwijderen moeten daarom aan die persoon of organisatie worden gericht.

Voor persoonsgegevens in een supportmail kan de afzender contact opnemen met AssistantCoach om, voor zover van toepassing, inzage, correctie of verwijdering te verzoeken of bezwaar te maken tegen of beperking te vragen van het gebruik. De afzender kan ook een klacht indienen bij de Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens of, indien van toepassing, een andere bevoegde toezichthouder zoals de Britse Information Commissioner's Office.

13. Wijzigingen in dit beleid

Dit beleid kan worden bijgewerkt wanneer de functionaliteit, gegevenspraktijken of wettelijke vereisten van de app veranderen. De bijgewerkte versie wordt met een nieuwe ingangsdatum op de website van AssistantCoach gepubliceerd. Wezenlijke wijzigingen worden, waar redelijkerwijs mogelijk, in de app of via een ander passend kanaal gecommuniceerd.

14. Contact en verwerkingsverantwoordelijke

AssistantCoach wordt in Nederland persoonlijk beheerd door Joeri van Megen, die verantwoordelijk is voor persoonsgegevens die rechtstreeks via supportcommunicatie van AssistantCoach worden ontvangen.
